Me, Myself & I features The Emily Gervers Band and friends (Scott Poley - guitar; Paul Bonney - drums; Maria Valencia - bass) and was engineered, produced and mixed by Scott Poley at Waterside Studios, Merseyside.
Acoustic Demo ('Me, Myself & I', 'Face At The Window' and 'You Won't Do Better Than Me') produced by Jon Allen. Jon is an AMAZING singer-songwriter. You must listen to his song 'Going Home', which is currently being used as the music for the new Land Rover advert. Download the song for free on Jon's website : http://www.jon-allen.co.uk
The Liverpool/London Project (my latest 6-song demo) involved many great people, both old friends and new ones.
'Bring It On Home To Me/You Send Me' and 'On The Air' recorded by Max Barenthin, and mastered by Alan Bally, at The London Recording Studios , Osborn Street, London, U.K. Featuring Alex Reid (guitar), Chris Graham (drums) and Philipp Moll (double bass), alongside myself on piano & vocals.
'God Bless The Child', 'Such A Night', 'Nobody Knows You (When You're Down & Out)' and 'Run Baby Run' recorded by Ashley at Parr Street Studios , Liverpool, U.K. Featuring Toni James (vocals), Jack Stevens (bass), Pete Watson (keys), Ed Wilson (drums) and James Harrison (guitar) on God Bless The Child and Such A Night; and Scott Poley (guitar), Jon Bath (drums) and Maria Valencia (bass) on Nobody Knows You and Run Baby Run, with myself on piano & vocals for the latter two tracks.
All tracks on this project were mixed by Max Barenthin at The London Recording Studios. Thanks to both Alan and Max, and also to Ashley at Parr Street. I'd like to give a HUGE thanks to all the musicians who took part and humoured me - I hope you like the end result!!
All hail to FOALS, who are rapidly becoming the New Big Thing...my younger brother, Walter, plays bass for the band, who were recently described by one journalist as 'a sort of manic, organic, polyrhythmic electronica'. They were a massive hit playing at the Carling Stage at Reading Festival in August 2007, where festival-goers 'spilled out ten rows deep into the sunshine, struggling to see the band' (NME) and have since graced the Big Bands for 2008 NME cover for January. They were also nominated for the newest BRIT Award, the Critics' Choice - deservedly won by Adele - but not a bad accolade for this bunch! Plus they received nominations for several NME Awards..and are now about to embark on a tour of the U.K. on a 'pukka tourbus'. They are officially everywhere. My brother is tired but happy in his new rock'n'roll lifestyle. Drummer Jack Bevan has also recently been in an advert for Burberry. Yannis (Philippakis, their lead singer/guitarist) appeared on 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' in February, something I hope to do myself one day! Good on you, boys. I foresee great things...keep up the good work!
Please visit their MySpace at www.myspace.com/foals to see what I'm on about and/or worship at their altar. Thank you.
